The DSi (Part 1)

I see Nintendo’s DSi as more of a premium option for newcomers to the DS than anything else. The problem with this, of course, is that hundreds of millions of DSs have already been sold, and how many more people are really going to be interested in buying a handheld video game system?
I realize that this is a new DS, and Nintendo could sell ice to Eskimos, but most of the new features in the DSi could have and should been in the DS lite. I really can’t see anybody, except maybe the most uneducated buyers, trying to pick up the DSi (I’ll expand on this later).
